CRM Data Quality Report in Power BI
A ready-made Power BI dashboard that shows the real state of your CRM database.
Features
What the CRM data quality report shows
The report gives a structured assessment of data completeness across three key Dynamics 365 entities — Account, Contact and Lead — and shows what to fix first. Read more about the typical causes of poor CRM data quality in the article "CRM data quality: an out-of-the-box Power BI report for auditing database completeness".
01
Required fields
Name, company registration code (EDRPOU), phone, email, address, CEO, primary contact — the basic set without which a CRM record is practically useless.
02
Recommended fields
Type, city, industry, secondary contact, account priority — they affect the quality of segmentation, communication and reporting, but don't block work with the record.
03
Optional fields
English name, social media, street — additional attributes that improve analytics accuracy but are not critical for basic customer work.
04
Overall quality score
A single consolidated completeness percentage for each entity — Account, Contact, Lead — a metric you can track quarter over quarter.
05
Segmentation by quality level
How many records are well filled in (>80%), how many are in the middle zone (50–80%), and how many need immediate attention (<50%).
06
Detailed list with links to CRM
A table of specific records with the responsible manager, creation date and a direct link to the record — so missing data can be filled in with one click.
Who it's for
Who gets the most value from the CRM data quality report
A report for teams where incomplete CRM data already costs lost deals, email bounces or distorted reporting.
Sales team
Fewer lost contacts due to missing phone numbers or emails, fewer duplicate companies in the pipeline. You can see which managers have the most incomplete records — so data gets filled in before it affects a deal.
Marketing
Fewer email bounces caused by invalid addresses, more precise audience segmentation by attributes, and a more reliable base for retargeting and personalization.
Company leadership
Sales and customer reporting is not distorted by incomplete data. A database quality metric to track over time — and a basis for deciding whether to introduce data entry rules.
Integrations
What the CRM data quality report integrates with
The report connects directly to Dynamics 365 and Dataverse tables — no manual export of data to Excel.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales
Account, Contact and Lead tables with all standard and custom fields. The main source for calculating completeness in each category.
Required field catalog
Ready-made logic for splitting fields into required / recommended / optional. The list and category of each field are configured to your company's specifics.
Automatic refresh
Scheduled or real-time data refresh — no manual exports. The dashboard always shows the current state of the database.
YouControl and registries
If needed, we add cross-checks against public registries of legal entities to verify company registration codes and names.
Access to the report is role-based: a manager sees the quality of their own records, a department head sees the whole company database.
Implementation Four steps to a working report — in 3–5 days There is no need to prepare data in advance — the report connects to your existing Dynamics 365 as is and immediately shows the real state of data completeness.
Day 1 Connecting to the CRM We get access to Dynamics 365 and Dataverse. Together we define the list of required, recommended and optional fields for Accounts, Contacts and Leads in your company.
Days 2–3 Setting up the quality logic We define the completeness formula, segmentation thresholds (<50%, 50–80%, >80%) and the breakdown by responsible manager.
Day 4 Launch in Power BI Service We deploy the report to the cloud and set up role-based access and scheduled or real-time data refresh.
Day 5 Team training We run a workshop for the head of sales and the team. 30 days of support after launch — minor changes free of charge.
